The Congo Basin is house to the largest expanse of intact tropical forest in the world, covering approximately three.7 million sq. kilometres. It retains extensive parts of undisturbed forest – like the 108,000 square kilometres in the DRC, a region with regards to the dimensions of Iceland. Yet right now, Earth’s biggest remaining expanses of
